It’s a Family Reunion

I literally walk through the doors and see family. Years ago, we started out as strangers, but now we are family (cue Sister Sledge) – a big happy Orange family. Who knew that my deep desire to invest into families would collide with a community already passionately doing the same? I could not have imagined that our introduction would foster years of intentional teamwork.

In a few months, we get to present what this family looks like. We get to Re-imagine the Potential We Can Have as One Voice. I invite you to join us and see why I have chosen to stay connected to such an incredible team of influencers for eight years.

If you have been following me, you know that I come from a very rich community. I grew up among family and friends that genuinely stayed connect with each other. Fifteen households that worked together to purposefully enhance the lives of each other. I could walk into any home and be welcome.

All of the kids would play together, whether in the woods or on the ball field. Adults communicated, sharing family happenings and the latest mischief this kids were up to – all to ensure everyone was up to date with the latest community news. We could eat, help, play or work anywhere in our neighborhood.

Eight years ago, I was introduced to another likeminded community, by the name of Orange – a gathering of leaders who are passionate about engaging churches and families to influence the faith and character of the next generation. Simply put, our goal is to influence anyone who influences the next generation.
